Tattered is the third novel in the heartwarming young adult series, Misfit McCabe. A little about the book:

I had seen Lisette Brodey around the Twitterverse in conversations with mutual friends and retweets, but really got to know her at a memorable New Year’s Eve party to kick off this year. Since then, we’ve kept in contact through Twitter. Lisette put me in touch with Molly Hacker, who interviewed me for the Swansea Herald in August. We were all pleased when we found out that Tattered was going to release on the same day as the ebook version of Molly Hacker Is Too Picky! Now I’ll turn things over to Katie McCabe, the fourteen-year-old main character of Tattered.
Katie: Hi Lisette and Molly! Thanks for having me today. *Rubs hands gleefully* It’s payback time. On December 1st, LK talked about me, well today I get to talk about her. If you didn’t know… she’s a little bit of a slave driver. She works ALL the time and expects me to be ready to work with her whenever she needs me to. I mean, can’t a girl have a life? I have friends, I have a boyfriend, I like to do stuff, but none of that matters when she wants me to tell her more of my story so she can put it on the page.
So… what more can I tell you about LK? She runs on coffee and tea (decaf), and after her day job comes home and works on stories into the night, when she’s not playing on Twitter. *whistles innocently* Oh, come on. If you’ve read any of the other blog posts on the tour, you KNOW she spends a lot of time on Twitter. Otherwise she wouldn’t be saying that each person along the way she met on Twitter. But I guess to be fair, she really does work hard, so a little time tweeting is probably deserved. Oh, and she has three cute long-haired dachshunds, Gryphon, Phoenix, and Elsa. They always lay by her feet, or next to her on the bed while she’s working.

I know people who run solely on coffee. They’re usually mighty chipper in the morning, bursting with energy while I slouch around cowering from the bright sun rays. I think it’s wonderful you and LK share the same release date. Congratulations. Lisette, you have been FB ‘liked’!
I think Molly and Katie would get along very nicely. They can give tidbits about their creators 😉

Hmm . . . coffee and tea! I have developed a dependency to a point where I can’t work on any school papers unless I have a cup beside me. :]
Oh my goodness! I run on coffee toooo! But mine has to be caffed! 😉 But LK knows this… Katie, you probably didn’t. And I have black doxie’s! Named for Candy, not for mystical creatures. 😉 Tho, not sure what mystical creature an Elsa is 😉 lol
Fiery Na ~ I wouldn’t call myself chipper in the a.m., but I am always up early (and stay up late… hmmmm that could be the source of my being tired most of the time)
Racheal ~ I hope you catch up with the rest of the tour. Katie has done a great job on each of the stops.
Gabi ~ When I wrote the first book in the series, Misfit McCabe, the only thing that brought me out of the story was reaching for a cup that was not there or when I brought it to my lips — empty. So yes, I am dependent on them.
Coffee..lets see what I’ll have…MOCHA MOCHA..AND MOCHA!

LOL, I’ve definitely been noticing the Twitter theme! 🙂
The only coffee I like is the peppermint mocha. Nothing else really. But Maddy is right… our puppies are trouble makers right now! But they are just puppies. They will get better. Hope yours are good pups!
Eisley ~ Elsa was named after the lion cub in Born Free because that’s what she reminded me of as a little bitty thing. And she still has the mane going on. And the furs on her nose grow together so she has a nose-hawk. I’m sure that means special powers of some sort.
Maddy ~ One Mocha coming right up! did you want whipped cream with that? and that’s what makes puppies so special… they’re always getting into trouble, but we love them anyway.
Michelle ~ And to think that I was a Twitter skeptic in the beginning. It truly has brought me what I hope to be life-long friends.
Iona ~ We definitely have good pups, and they are unique and wonderful each in their own way. (And I love peppermint Mocha too, I just can’t have it very often.)

My dog just turned six and is still every bit the spastic mutt as when we first got him at six months! 😀
